Sitios de Espera

Sitios de Espera

“These poems make useful vitamins. They extract the demon in powerful cathartic metaphors. They delight in the way of the belly dancer and the temple dancer. They move the heart to sympathy, the blood to make love.”

Indran Amirthanayagam

Ana Márquez is author of “Sitios de Espera”, a poetry book published in 2006 by “Libraria”, her own publishing house. “Sitios de Espera” was a semiotic experiment, an object-book, published in the midst of the questioned publishing paper era, intended to bring to the front the conversation among poetry, critique, drawing, cartoon, non-fiction narrative, graphic design and the physicality of the book as an artifact. “Libraria” was an initiative to publish non-mainstream poets looking for creative and quality venues outside the commercial’s or the government’s ones.
